Description
I hope, I did everything all right, since this is my first 'deviation' ^^story: The comic-Gabriel is somebody, who sees all evil things as true monsters. So I adapted Michelangelo's Creation-theme and made her create the fear she's suffering from...
while drawing this I wondered more and more, whether we are nothing more than the sum of our fears...

That's part of why the thing in the JtHM comic is called a moose; because of a note that reads 'definitely not a moose'

thank you for your comment. At the time I drew this, i read a lot of mister Jhonen Vasquez' works. He also talks about... mooses... quite a lot. But is moose! something else? I do not know it : )

Moose would be an eldritch creature within one of Vasquez's earliest works that both feeds on and facilitates madness, and is kept dormant by a steady feeding of blood. Johnny the Homicidal Maniac is a fun read! This comment in no way is meant to lesson the awesome factor of your work, though, just that it reminds me of one of my all-time favorite 'villains'.

Okay, so your description of the idea here is just as awesome as the details in the drawing itself... I am enthralled with this. The references it brings to mind, the implications of the adaptation, the creep-factor....

I first saw this particular piece YEARS ago. I am so glad to have finally found the original artist, & to see that they're creator of so many other works that I've fallen in love with...
I saw on your homepage that... that in your journal entry you say you're sick? & I am so, deeply sorry to hear this. I'm a BIT confused in what way exactly you're not well... But I THINK I have a general idea/theory. & if so then I can somewhat maybe relate & understand what you're goin through.. Unfortunately there aren't many people that do/can understand. I can't understand your situation perfectly though; so all I can say in the end I guess is.. I hope with SO much that you heal/regenerate(?) when you're ready to, from whatever the case is that is making you not well. You have so much potential, & so much to give to the world & art community, an you already have. But no doubt you have so much more to give. You have a beautiful mind & your art & words portray that. Unfortunately it seems those minds most beautiful have so much going on in there, it can.. be too much.. & overload . .
In the meantime while you do what you've gotta do, us fans I'm sure will stick around & be patient.
