Definitive Inked version, with a little Photoshop. Including some final tweaks on Dr. Tenma, some requested, and some made by myself.Alternative cover of the comic adaptation of the upcoming Astroboy CGI movie, to be published by IDW in 2009.

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE Astro but I don't like that 3D rendition. Actually, Astroboy never looks good in 3D (not only because of the hair) and that realistic touch on the face removes a lot of his charm I think. Anyway, still great. It's the first time I see how Tenma looks in the movie too.

I didn't work in the movie. I just did this 2 cover for the comic adaptation of the movie.
I don't like this movie done in 3D also. I think they could have done a wonderfull, modern 2D animation movie that would have been astonishing... but I couldn't resist the chance to do this illustrations of a character I love, even having to keep the 3D design..

Guau... de verdad que le pones un montón de tiempo a tu trabajo. Como siempre, sorprende tu dominio de la composición y la estructura... Eres un dibujante auténtico.
Tengo algunas preguntas técnicas, man. Te agradecería mucho si te tomas el tiempo de responder:
- ¿Existe un original en opaco o es cien por cien producción digital?
- Si la respuesta es sí. ¿Qué sustrato e instrumentos usas? ¿Cuál es el formato del original?
- Eventualmente ¿Tendrías tiempo para responder una entrevista para [link] ?

El dibujo original es a tinta con rotulador fino desechable, Staedtler o similar, sobre papel bond grueso. en este caso, lo calqué en mesa de luz sobre una fotocopia del original a lá

Más o menos 10,5 x 15 pulgadas, en Chile tamaño hoja de block.

Este lo he hecho más o menos con calma, además he tenido que para entre etapas para confirmar que esté aprobado. Una tarde para el dibujo y una tarde para el entintado.
