Well, I finally managed to get this finished I had a quick look at the date I started sketching this artwork and it dated back to sometime in July more than likely the same day I got this beauty So about a month-and-a-half is how long I have been trying to work on this picture, what with school and other shit - including my wrists - affecting how long it's taken for me to draw this But I'm glad it's finally finished~

This is my character I received as a custom from snowflake95 although I'm not sure the species So I just call them Butterfly-Butt Cats XD
Her name is Cyclone and I have got to tell you, I love what Snowie did for the design in terms of patterns/markings and the colour palette is quite simple too~ Here is Cyclone's reference that Snowie created if you would like to see more: fav.me/d922o0a Once again, thumbnails fail to help -_- I'm assuming it's because I don't have a membership...

A little bit of information about Cyclone that I am willing to share with you:
Despite her tailwings, she cannot fly; if she flaps them hard enough she can lift off the ground, but she needs to have at least one paw touching the ground to balance out her weight, otherwise she will fall.
She was born with a weak left wrist and wears a bandage almost permanently to help support it. The only time she removes it is when she is cleaning her wrist or when she needs to switch bandages.
*This can be viewed on the reference* Her eyes and the majority of her markings glow at night or in a place that is dark enough for her to need light. This is linked to the butterfly necklace that she wears *it glows as well when this occurs*; she can mentally 'activate' it so that it along with her body does glow. This is useful for the event that she has the need to travel at night.
She finds luminescent objects fascinating.

With this artwork, I hoped for it to be loosely based off ElOTryOshKAnyAh 's artwork here: fav.me/d78vodx XD Mainly because when I knew that when I first received Cyclone, I would draw something based off her buttwings~
At first, I was attempting to have the wings unfolded a bit more, but then they covered her face and it didn't look entirely neat, so this is how they turned out.
This was also one of those artworks I have been experimenting on If you haven't noticed already, this is the first artwork I have drawn featuring a character with soft shading. For my first attempt and the fact that I could only use a Smudge brush in place of a Blur brush as well as a 7-layer limit thanks to Sketchbook, I am somewhat proud~ I think this is also the most detailed-shaded artwork I have attempted so far involving a character. However, I wish I could have done better; I was trying to picture how the lighting would have looked like - shining on her buttwings - and that's why I purposefully left the right wing as somewhat flat-coloured. Other than the necklace, I didn't attempt to make lighting effect as well because I wasn't entirely comfortable with it, but when I do test out soft-shading again not for a while, I will attempt lighting as well~
I was also testing out a new eye-style as well and it looks nice so I will be using it again.

That outline in the background kind of annoys me a little - I only added it because it was a good idea at the time - but I'm sure I'll grow used to it and if not, I'll remove it.

Also, until I am able to draw without taking over a month to get an artwork done, this will be my deviantID~ I will design a new one a bit later.
