Description Domaine de Maizerets, Quebec, Canada

I never thought I could meet a great horned owl just like that, resting on a park tree!

So yeah, of course the conditions were not excellent: lot of shadows (I had to wait for 1 hour so that they slightly went away) and it was HIGH
But I'm still proud I 'captured' such a beauty

He also seems rather camouflaged up there too! Lovely details, I love owls so much!

I was kind of looking for squirrels and found this white-grey one very strange *camouflage? *

Thanks a lot

The other day, my father was telling me when you look for them, you can't find them, and when you don't... So good luck!!
Thank you

I don't know why, but when ever I see an owl during the day--there is a lot of that here--I always say "Why is that owl up so late?" LOL

Oh really, it happens a lot? I was kinda surprised because for me, they are animals you either see at night, either in zoos
I'm glad that owl is a bad sleeper

Hardly a lucky encounter, seeing an owl in the daylight means death is near.
That with that dark proclamation havin' been made...Very nice shot! Its always shocking to look at an owl, with that fierce look and proud bearing to them.
Very cool

It had really piercing eyes, most of the time closed, but when it opened it and looked at me at some point, I was wow!
Thank you - for scaring me as well when I read that, still half-asleep
