Original sprites belong to Nintendo. Original sprites ripped by DarkZero. Edited by me.The imposter from The Lost Levels is different from the real Bowser in this interpretation because he lacks the Ground Pound/Bowser Bomb attack (I used Ludwig's palette, BTW).

He appears as the second-to-last boss of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels in both World 8-4 and World D-4. BUT, he only appears in the NES/FDS version of the game. He's replaced by a Bowser Impostor in the SNES remake.

Yeah, and apparently he used to have some story as being Bowser's brother but then the idea got scrapped and his backstory is a mystery

But, that's not the only thing that's hidden away... I think there was a second Warp Zone in Super Mario Bros. 3 that's accessed by playing the Warp Whistle in World 8 where the tornado takes you to a single island with one Warp Pipe leading back to World 1... At least, that's what I remember...
