Description
Thats my first drawing with gimp and using brushes. The whole drawing is kind of a mistake, it started as a concept logo for a little project im working on, but the result is quite different from what it would have looked like .Starting from the left the planets are : Corneria, Titania(orange), Meteor(gray), Black hole(purple spiral), fortuna(blue), venom(small grey), eladard(purple-pink), Solar(small orange), and the unnamed star. I wasn't sure if solar was a star or not, but since its filled with lava and is rather small, it seemed it isn't a star. Also not all planets are there, it was impossible to make them all fit in that drawing, I would have added MacBeth, Katina, Zones, Papetoon. Please note that, it was hard to organise them the way they were in starfox 1-2 and 64, so i moved a few planets.
I usually make much simple stuff with vector graphics. The star background is generated with a script and has some lighting effects applied. The planets are all made manually. Im really surprised it turned out this good, given the fact that I don't draw that often. If you have any tips with gimp feel free to share them. Oh and by the way, the black hole was made by mistake, but it looked cool so i didn't fixed it.

Personally, I go by the Lylat's appearance in Star Fox 2: the stars are a white main sequence and a white dwarf. Something about Solar just seems wrong to me. As for the name, I go with Lylat A for the big one, Lylat B for the other.

dude i miss the black hole, i was sad to see thm take it out of starfox 64. but i love how you included all all of the planets and objects from the original starfox as well as the 64 version.

Thanks, however the drawing is far from showing everything, I haven't had enough space to include MacBeth, Katina, Zones, Papetoon, Aqua( I hate that planet ).
Yeah, I loved the black hole too, it really felt different when floating in that space ship graveyard.
But because it was a plot element of Starfox snes and that Starfox 64 was a remake of the first one, they had to flush it. Or else the story would have lost some credibility.
And while I really love Starfox 64, I hate the way they just rewrote everything, no classics deserve that! But some planets in the n64 game were great addition to the Lylat system, though. So I added them to my personal "story canon", which usually goes from starfox 1 to starfox 2 including the comics.

Yeah alot of the newer planets were cool in the N64 version. Truthfully I also love the N64 version it one of my favorites N64 games. But the Music and the feel of the SNES game really couldn't be beat, as well as the levels including the black hole. I'm hoping the WII version of the game (if they ever make one) will include alot of the elements from the SNES game especially the music. Hearing Orchastrated versions of the starfox SNES music on Melee and Brawl really take me back

I think Solar is a star, but is not the Lylat star itself...

That's what I guessed at first, but its still unclear in the game, maybe they will feature more solar levels in starfox wii, if it ever comes out.

I think it even stated that on Wikipedia, but when I mention that, they keep saying that everything on Wikipedia is false because it is subject to being changed. With that in mind, what would your opinion be even after reading the entry on said website?

Wikipedia is a good source most of the time, except for rumors though.
And about solar, Nintendo has rewritten the starfox storyline completely in starfox 64, so I guess they basically just put solar where they need it in each games, can't say for sure though, because i haven't played Adventure, Assault, or Command yet.
