when you look at it for a first time all you focus on is the character you drew, but now that you mentioned it and I forced myself to focus on the area around the character I've noticed the thing you mentioned.
So, it's still a fabulous work and ,certainly, the places needing a fix are not spoiling the impression that watcher get after viewing your deviation.
