Exactly one year ago, I posted a pair of Pink-necked Green Pigeons (Treron vernans) here as a small tribute to V-day which falls on Feb 14.

This time one year later I was fortunate to recently witness a rare encounter of a pair of Pink-necked Green Pigeons in the process of building a nest. The male pink necked green pigeon (right) flies to and fro from the brand new nest, collecting twigs carefully selected and hands it over to the female (left) while the two briefly lock beaks on the twig. A fascinating peak into the ritual of nest building, and the bond of love shared between them.
