NOW EVERYONE IS QUAD. Except Etao, those assholes can actually stand upI got in mood for drawing BHs, even though I haven’t settled for their design
Mostly just dumped atran beetlehawks (blue BHs), there’s really other 3 or so BH subspecies of which you may know the black and red ones (etao and g’hai)
I like to show that there’s ethnical diversity within the subspecies themselves, slight variances mostly in color, tho’ eventually I wanna settle down a height/head shape for different ethnical variables within subspecies.
First I should settle for a fucking design tho’…I dunno why I’m always unhappy with their design
and yeah, BH reproductive organs reside in neck. Their babies are small enough that they fit marsupial-style in the folds of the female’s neck. Like…fist-small
HOPEFULLY I CAN GET SOME FEEDBACK ON THESE. i really do seriously need it

Since I'm pretty new following all this stuff, please tell me you are completing some sort of art book to do with all that you've created for this "universe", cos I wanna know more :C
Only feedback is not really on the design as in structural but more on their colouration, I know that the blue colouration is because of the materials you explained before right? But I don't know if they're kinda too Na'vi-ish in comparison, wondering if either something like an eye colour change would make them different. Even though they're like completely different species and everything, but that's just what I think about when I see em D:

Sorry for late reply btw. Their coloring is something that's trademark of their subspecies, the atran belong to the beetlehawk species but they do not encompass -aall of them- and no, their coloring is not due to echo/orichalkum
I'll keep the coloring the same, I mean, 'blue' thought he patterning will vary.

I-uh, guess I'm the only one who likes gangly creatures. Are these just males that are being shown right now? I like it when the female creatures are shwon as more 'feminine' and the males are more stocky. I also enjoy certain colors for males and females BUT that's just me.
Maybe make the back legs thicker? And I know you're still working on the design, but are these aliens aggressive? Docile? But I love the big hands with LONG fingers omg I love that so much. I WISH YOU LUCK ON FIGURING OUT HOW YOU WANT THEM.

I've thought that the atran subspecies is sort of herm..or at least is able to swap gender at certain points in their lifetime--not too sure to be honest, I'll prod around.
Yeah, back legs will be thicker, though it's the forearms that support most weight, so those tend to be the biggest. The aliens are people, whether they're docile or aggressive is up to the individual

Hmm, I think I liked the older, stockier designs more. The long limbs and bulky head and neck just look jarring together.

Rundas is a different subspecies as well, he gets VERY bulky as he ages, and is way bigger than your average atran
