Description Every beginning begets a beginning, such is the flow of time, but you cannot comprehend what lived before your own time on earth, the genesis of life outside your own - that of far older things, can be beyond understanding'

One of my favs. Never saw another tree that has the same power and wisdom. Hope you love the pic

The textures and shape of the tree held me spellbound - they are as complex as time itself, and almost as unexpected. The orange filter give the picture an eerie, other-worldly feel. I hope you submit this as a print - I want this picture! Your photos leave me breathless.

Just fantastic! The gnarled, looming tree is positively awe-inspiring. Great color editing, too. The sepia tones of the sky work well with the bark of the tree, and impart a sense of age and passing time.

i think taken form any other angle - this piece wouldnt have worked as well. The stump on the left hand side gives the tree a whole life story - makes me wonder lots of things
i love the effect that the filter has on the sky, looks like you have found a clear bit in a sandstorm !

i only wish i could see a little more of the trunk ,

can i ask when you see things like this - do you touch them before taking a photo ?
i would have to touch that tree !!

are those bristlecone pines? I get the feeling they are with a title like that... They are the oldest living organisms on the face of the earth. Great shot... I love the color of the filter. Would have also looked neat with a graduated filter.

I get a good feeling when I look at this one. Something is touching my heart in a special way.
It might be the music I'm listening to, but no. This picture has a great perspective, and the orange filter makes it so warm and welcoming. It's opening up for you, showing you the right way.

It's just so nice Garrit..
