It is amazing how much character is present within those branches - from the direction each branch takes, to the detail of the bark that can be seen. I really enjoy the low perspective and the choice of orange - each element in this shot really comes together.

you bring very old history with this tree - especially pines are getting very old (the oldest one that I know is like about 3000 or 4000 years old)

love the colors and shapes of the tree. i also like how there's nothing but a sky surrounding the tree. i do wish that the clouds were higher seeing how empty the sky is above. but its still a wonderful photo

It's a beautiful tree. A tree looking a bit like that grew in the centre of Helsinki. A few months ago a lightning struck it and it fell. It was the oldest tree in the area. Anyways, a great photo. It'll go straight to my +favs.
