Oh, this is spectacular! I can even picture Pietxon's description of a woman escaping through the center. But, the genesis works for me as well. The angle of this shot makes it seem to reach above all else - to life - a beginning.

Even though it is warped and twisted it won't surrender to the forces around it.

It seems as if there's a spirit inside the tree, like it's part of the tree,
whether it be simply a tree spirit or an ent
or just a fairy
or perhaps a trapped soul,
it looks like it's there
and it's calling/crying to the sky.

I agree with your statement - I have never seen a tree as powerful as this one is, either. The colors are bold and beautiful; I hate to sound like a soap opera, but really, those were the two words foremost in my mind at first glance.
