Description I've had a few people ask me how I make my zipatone patterns in PS, so I figured I'd save myself a lotta typing and just make a tutorial. Hope ya find it useful.

Man am I glad I came across this!

Currently working on a webcomic and, although it's still very early stages, I do plan to "colour" it using zipatone a la Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira. Was wondering how to do it and now I know!

I have a few pages worth of pencils laid down but havent got a final script for the rest yet so it's on hold. Check out the pencils on my profile if you get a minute.

Thanks for the tutorial!

It took me a bit to figure it out, but after I did I was all "That's it?" So I figured I might as well do the tut and let everyone else see how easy it actually is

I've got a couple of originals pages I've bought over the years that have Zipatone on em and the taped down word balloons as well. The discoloration is extremely noticeable when compared to the paper of the same age.

Gotta love Photoshop... and no wonder the poor Zipatone people stopped producing those "contact paper". Just came across a stack of pristine sheets I had in storage, and just chucked it all... I couldn't imagine I will ever use that stuff, with Pshop to the rescue!!

great tutorial!

Maybe someone fished them out of my garbage can, and they will show up on Antiques Roadshow someday. Then I will be kicking myself the whole time.
