How would I know what the episode is about from a simple announcement? How would I know the details? Why would I spoil an episode weeks before it airs?
And if you're going to assume, why didn't you assume I wrote out the intro chapter long before I posted it? Because I did.
Presuming is assuming, and I'm not a fan of that. If you read some of the comments on my other pages you'll see me jump all over people who grossly assume things. I don't read episode announcements, I get my info as it airs. I avoid episode spoilers on EQD, the only thing I ever know ahead of time is the episode name.

Clearly you don't hate assumptions as much as you claim. Otherwise you wouldn't be making so many. It has never been my policy to base my comments off what the author knows or when he began to form the ideas. That would be a ridiculous policy, unless I'm psychic and I forgot to tell myself. (I could dismiss that possibility, but I wouldn't want to assume.) I don't know the context in which the page was drawn, so why should I try to guess at it? Nobody would believe such a preposterous lie anyway. All I know is the context in which it was posted.
If it would please you to describe your writing process to me, there's honestly a fair chance that it would never happen to be relevant to any comment I'm leaving, but then I would have a little more context to draw on it the opportunity does arise. But I'll not fill my comments with assumptions and falsehoods just to match the way you assume your readers ought to think.
Oh, yeah, and I reserve the right to guess, because I'm not afraid to make a g out of you and ess. Whatever that means.

Clearly point out a single assumption that I made. And before you post one, a question isn't an assumption. Because all you're going to find in my last few posts on this chain is me either asking a question or stating a fact.
If your policy was not to base your comments on what the author knows then perhaps answer the question I asked, "Which means what exactly?" What was the point of added the little snippet about the announcement in your first post? I know that I took it as directed towards me instead of a simple neutral comment, but that was only after your reply when you didn't answer my question and chose to address my comment after the question. Which of course led me to respond as I've responded so far as you reinforced that line of thinking.
I don't care what my readers think. Its when they leave comments with assumptions presented as fact that I have a problem with. You can assume whatever you wish, and you've done quite alot of that I might add. I don't mind that all at. Its when it goes to the next level thats the problem. Its when you claim I did/know something without any evidence to support or even suggest such a thing.
Much like your statement up there about me not clearly hated assumptions as I've made alot. Which is clearly wrong. I don't assume, and when I make a claim its only when I have enough supporting evidence to do so.

Sorry, sorry, my bad. I used the impersonal "you," didn't I. That's a well-established source of confusion in English, and I should have known better than to use it at all in a potentially ambiguous context, let alone do so and forget. (Actually, that's probably why I forgot; it doesn't sound like me, and I'm going to have to ask myself a few pointed questions about this whole incident until I figure out who's responsible.) I'm a little tempted to blame DA for making it so easy to respond to a comment without seeing what I said last to prompt it, but that would be rather immature. It's my own fault for going off memory alone when I didn't have to.
