New gem and storyline I made during quarantine... It goes like this:

Set in the year 2089, exactly 70 years after the events of Steven Universe Future, Homeworld and its surrounding gem colonies have entered Era 5, a new age that dawned from the untimely death of Pink Diamond's biological son, Steven Universe, and ushering a new future which promised another era of peace, democracy and technological advancement....or so they thought.

After Steven's death, the Diamond Matriarch have entered a crisis of gem succession; each of them divided over who will preside over Steven's role to continue ruling Homeworld. As a consequence, several colonies within Homeworld have plunged into severe political turmoil, and without the guidance of Steven Universe or the Diamonds, gems began to fight each other for the rule of their own colonies. One of which was Emerald, a disgraced former gem commander, now turned dictator of the gem colony Cascadia-6. This gem colony will be the forefront of the events that will set forth in this series.

C.C. GARNET

BIO: A fusion of two artificially created gems called Core Ruby and Core Sapphire, C.C. Garnet was a former member of an elite counter-insurgency task force ordered to hunt down suspected terrorists and dissidents of colony Cascadia-6, ruled by Emerald. (yes, THAT Emerald from SU). She was initially ordered to assassinate possible political dissidents and ensure strict disciplinary actions from Emerald to citizens attempting to rebel against the government. Having learned about the truth of her origin as a mind-controlled gem fusion, programmed solely to harm or kill innocent gems, she secretly defects to a clandestine group of rebel gems under the name , to which she earns their trust and support, and in turn, becoming a key factor to the rebellion's rise to power.

Features:
GX-001 Dual Gauntlet - C.C. Garnet's primary weapon. Developed from the original gauntlets first donned by Garnet (SU), her gauntlets are slightly larger than those mass-produced in the same era, and is powered directly from her gems. These gauntlets are designed for both close-range and long-range combat, and as such, she can transform her gauntlets into a dual minigun, grenade launcher, missile launcher and a grappling hook launcher.

GX-002 Dual Sub-Machine Laser Gun - Her secondary weapon, mainly used for assault and reconaissance missions. It is a laser-powered open-bolt submachine gun that can be suited for faster combat. Despite being her secondary weapon, C.C. Garnet prefers to use these sub-machine laser guns as an alternative to her gauntlets, especially when her missions demand faster mobility and less noticeability from enemies.
Cyborg body / Artificial gem frame - Being that she is an artificial gem fusion, her most prominent physical feature is her cyborg-like appearance, usually in a form of panel lines throughout her body. Her body can also channel photonic energy from her artificial gems which act as her "batteries." Thus, she has socket-like ports connected to her shoulders and feet which act as energy terminals for weapons or add-ons, and can also be used to recharge her energy. (see right)
