Here is my contribution to the Pepper Projectthe original tag line was as follows:
Wanda needed to spice up her life. She didn't know how hot it would be.
But I changed it last minute...
Ever since I joined Deviant I have fallen in love with Pepper. So when I saw the Pepper Project I wanted to do something immediately. Unfortunately I don't really have allot of spare time for stuff like that. But I couldn't get this image out of my head for the last month. So I HAD to stop and do it. I am glad I did..It broke up the monotony of cards flying off my desk.
Ok I wanted to make a change.. i was not happy with the pepper part so I redrew her.
I have to thank Mark Brooks for encouraging me to do this and I hope the guys at Imaginary Friends Studios dig it.
Done on a 9" x12" ish piece of bristol board

This is definitely my favourite take on the characters. I've never been crazy about Wanda, but you portray both characters here in a way I cannot help but adore.

This is spectacular!
Besides the superb drawing and technique, the overall compo is just to prefect. Dunno how you managed to make a splash of flesh-colored background look so good, but it is a perfect foil for the figures....
Something different and memorable. Great job!

Thanks mark..That "flesh" color is one of my fat background markers.. i tend to use it allot for color splashes. It is one of my favorites choices.

fantastic! I love the background and simplicity of it. I too have loved Pepper since I've been on DA, it seems, and I'm very happy you got to pursue this idea! It's great when they get stuck in your head and won't let you rest.

I am actually going to redraw the Pepper part of this tomorrow...the more I look at her the more she bugs me. rush jobs..sheesh

It's so old school. Looks pretty good. The background seems like it could use a little bit more, but overall I like it.
