I admit, this is a quickie and not really fully tested. But it's just a simple edit. If there's a problem, feel free to yell at me.

Oh, you think this has been done? Well, the only mod for this I found available was a little ... incomplete. Oh, AND it seems to interfere with the way skeletons work in the game (by removing randomisation). This mod is it's own thing and doesn't overwrite the base skeleton mod, so that can function unabated. This mod has all the swatches available AND it contains it's own tweaked version of the skeleton buff just by wearing it! The ONLY difference in the buff is that the assigned "outfit" (a randomised skeleton) is taken out. And, I don't think it'll ever go away since it's tied to the skeleton outfit itself. So you can now be the color skeleton of your choice AND still get the perks of the skeleton buff!

Once more is that, since this new buff exists, you can apply it to ANY sim via cheats without them actually becoming a skeleton! Just buy it fromt he Rewards store or use a cheat:
traits.equip_trait Hidden_Skeleton_Gauntlet101010

This trait will add my edited buff to any Sim you want recognized as a skeleton. Use cheats to equip!

- Sure enough some things didn't go as planned. Applying the buff via cheats just didn't stick, although modifying outfits in Sims4Studio was alright. So I made a cutom trait that just slightly modifies the official trait.

- Just added an icon and description to make adding and identifying this easier.

- Made it so that skeletons with my custom trait don't act surprised at other skeletons ... like it's supposed to be. -_-

- I hadn't realized that seasons changed the regular Skeleton trait to ignore the weather! Well, that's now a part of my copied version too.

- Something glitched in the mod and it didn't add my trait when wearing the skeleton "costume". Well, that's been fixed.

- Wow, it's been a while since I touched this mod! But there's been a few new CC items released out there and a bit of polish that warranted a change.
The trait no longer says "Rock Group", but is applied a bit more properly so this minor annoyance has been addressed. In addition it has now been opened up to children, toddlers, dogs, AND cats, so all your skeleton needs can easily be met. I've made sure only teens - adults do the idle animation, however.

This now requires the XML Injector . The trait can now be found in the Rewards Store for $0.

At some point this stopped working. It's now been fixed. I've opened it up to all ages, foxes. and horses too.
