Description
So my third painting assignment had to do with my personal account and a response to the Wallace Stevens poem Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird. To be perfectly honest the poem itself is rather abstract and fragmented and it confused me a lot at first, but after breaking it up and focusing on certain parts that spoke to me (along with a fair amount of research on different people's perspectives on the piece of writing), I was able to pull together a theme I really liked.
This piece has to do with how people forget or neglect to appreciate the things around them that matter and the guilt one feels when they realize it.

I'd love any critique you might have about it!
