I'm not familiar with motion text, but I've heard of kinetic typography. Is that what you're working on? I'm a graphic designer, but my degree is in painting, so all of my typography knowledge is practical application kind of stuff. I don't get a lot of opportunities to step out and be creative with text.

It's a project I'm doing at the moment. It's related to animation. I wouldn't have thought that you were majoring in painting. Your work seems more cartoonish to me---in a good way.

Comics and cartooning are definitely where my heart is, but I went to school for the artsy-fartsy stuff. Technically, I have a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in drawing and painting. I had a scholarship to LSU, but they didn't have an illustration program when I was in school, so I just chose the next best thing. So you're in animation? That's awesome! Where do you go to school?

I was majoring in Graphic Design, but the field is too stressful. I found out that animation is what I love, since I can happily do comics or story boards. See, I don't want to grab a degree in something that I'm going to be bored with. It took me a while to figure it out. I'm going to a school here in Texas. I'd tell you, but I don't want people stalking me. lol

You aren't missing anything. From what I hear, the art schools in Texas are really nice. I went to LSU because it was paid for, and because I grew up in Baton Rouge, so I wouldn't have to uproot. I hear LSU is getting better, though. They still don't have an illustration program, but they have digital art now, which is a step up. Too bad they picked it up five years after I graduated
