Hmmm...you know, I never really liked that huge, sloppy tongue coming out of Venom's mouth.Β He looked creepier to me when McFarlane drew him, with his mouth closed and those big, long teeth.Β It reminds me of Alien or one of the Isz from Sam Kieth's The Maxx.

Really? To me, that's always been his trademark, like the Joker's smile. It's sloppy, it's disgusting, and it's the perfect metaphor for Venom himself!

I can definitely see where you're coming from, but for me, it makes him look less threatening.Β He looks less intelligent and formidable with his tongue hanging out of his mouth and drool dribbling down his chin.Β Maybe I would draw him with a thin, viper-like tongue, but not that big, thick tentacle tongue.
