Here's a remake of the Magneto part of X-Men #1's huge gatefold cover, but featuring the First Class version of Mags. If memory serves, this was the first comic I bought for myself. I actually got a case with all of the different variant covers, and I felt totally ripped off because they were all the same comic, lol. To this day, I have a strong distaste for gimmick and variant covers.I know it doesn't really come through in my style anymore, but I used to worship Jim Lee, and I still think that run on X-men was the best work of his career.
Also, on a related note...X-men: First Class is awesome. If you haven't seen it, you suck. Go watch it now.

Share your sentiments with chase variant covers. Gold foils, Silver foils, Hologram, Gatefolds, etc.... sigh. And we were so crazy to look for em as well. LOL. Jim Lee is still one of the bests today and i think he is the only artist from the 90's to keep his original style and still look great today.
Xmen First Class is indeed awesome and i was pleasantly surprised how good it was! better than Transformers 3 actually!
