So, I wanted to go back to a style that I had done before, only this time do it slightly differently. What happened was I'd gotten inspired by the idents used by Channel 5 here in the UK (the ident in question is the Channel 5 logo having been cut out of a metal surface, with the cut out pieces raising out or dropping through the holes they were cut from, and an illumination reaching out across a surface of panels depending on the positions of the cutouts), and this was the end result. Basically the hexagons across the grid that have a strong glow surrounding them are a set of panels that have been raised out of the original surface, and each set of panels has a different glow depending on which zone they represent (I don't think I have to explain which is which, haha). I plan on refurbishing my Vanguard mats in a similar fashion, and I might still have some work to do on something like this for Duel Masters/Magic. But yeah, I can't say I dislike this. I also plan on doing some based on neon lights similar to this, so wish me luck!
