Sculpture named "The unbearable lightness of being"

I had this piece of wood for a long time. It was a small part from the bottom of a tree, where a root parted, which was cut off by the saw mill.

It was slimming down to a section of 2 x 8 cm.

The timber is elm with a beautiful vein.

It took me quite a while to figure out, what I can best place in the piece in order to save most of the volume.

Size: 128 x 26 x 20 cm

Mounted on a 20 x 20 cm steel plate.
