I made this in response to: retro-hardware.com/2021/12/13/…More specifically, Kim Justice's latest video talked about this game, and as such, I took initiative. Using Mayhem In Monsterland's boxart as a means of composition, I wanted to recreate something similar, while at the same time being original in it's own right. Paying homage to the system this game originally debuted on (ironically the Sega Genesis, and not necessarily the game itself being the Sega Master System version); and hey--Sonic himself has done the ol' bait and switch with his gameplay style in 1991, so I thought that I would return the favor!
