I whipped this up in Affinity Designer by creating outlines, and took it into Affinity Photo with it's eponymous gradient effect that the logo has become famous for. I didn't 3-D render this one like how Gex 3 had, because I think Gex: Enter The Gecko's logo is better (bias?) as it is actually simpler, and better to understand without any gimmicks. Personally, the original Gex logo is... ok, but a bit dated (the grafitti & rebelliously attitudinal vibe doesn't really help with matters).
I had recently joined the Gex discord (discord.gg/54xVFsq ), and I helped to contribute to the community. This was one of my first contributions, along with the template for an up-and-coming website. Feel free to join this server! Let's get together, and help really make Gex The Bexst!
Total time allotted with making this logo was actually 2.5 Hours! No joke!
