Today is November 16th, 2019. Precisely 25 years ago from this day, a certain reptile was created by Lyle Hall, and is mascot for Crystal Dynamics (even appearing on their twitter every now, and then). His name is... Gex The Gecko.
I thought that I would celebrate the occasion of the character who really made me a gamer. Without his absence, I wouldn't have gained quite a big knowledge of other games outside his initial 3 platformers (one of which debuted on a console that cost $700.00!) and his rather odd disappearance from the video game industry in 2001 (where he last appeared in Mad Dash Racing for the Original XBox).
I used Affinity Photo to practice coloring in a piece by Rasmussen891 which can be found here: www.deviantart.com/rasmussen89… . What do you think? Bear in mind, this is actually my foray into digital art in a LONG time... the logo I colored after the Arcade version of Rygar's title screen.
