Well I'm doing another sketch sheet. This time using Guardians of the Galaxy. I went to see it last Thursday and fell in LOVE with the flick. I found some free time (kinda' rare these days) so I started on it- I couldn't resist doing one!Done within 2 hours using Prismacolor markers, Sharpies, and white paint for the whiskers.
It's nice to finally upload something.

Amazing work! Especially for sth done within two hours. I love how the thick markers give the fur a bit of a bristly look.

A quick question if you don't mind.
For his fur did you just put a brown layer underneath and then put the texture ontop with other colors?Β
I've never done fur before and not exactly sure how to do it.

I added the lighter brown "fur" streaks first, then went over with the light grey fur streaks. The darker brown, I did last (it would have smudged if I did darker colors first.) You can also see my progression shots to see what I did step-by-step here -->Β rangerrocket.tumblr.com/post/9β¦

Rocket looks amazing. Makes me excited to see how the other characters will turn out. The fact this is done with markers is crazy.
