Nova is a prideful person. She doesn't let others get in the way and never accepts help. At first she may seem either simply quite or mean and rude. She keeps her depression buried deep inside her and never expresses it, that's the way she likes it. She hates being pitied.
She doesn't take criticisms to heart very often and will never admit she's wrong.

Her past:

She grew up adopted into a Japanese-American family. She learned several different instruments and music was the main thing keeping her alive. She began to suffer from serious depression at the young age of 13. Since then, she had been taking pills and going to a shrink.

When she was living she was in a well-known band called "Red Eyed Baby". She was bassist and vocalist. They were on the road when it happened. When Nova "disappeared". She was in the band's bus while the others were out somewhere. Her ex boyfriend, Dan, stalked her down and entered the bus, wielding a large knife. Her proceeded to cut her face and then finally take out her heart, watching as she struggled to hold on to life.
Only a few minutes after she died, she found herself awake, as if she had a bad dream, and woke up scared and shivering. To say she was surprised is an understatement. The same goes for the horror she felt as she saw him standing at the door, another body laying on the ground below him.
Trembling, she reached for the original knife that was sticking out of her chest. She yanked it out and without a second thought, lunged at Dan. He fell dead as she ran away, as fast as she possibly could.
She arrived at her home, a few days later, running without stop. She piled up her car and went off-roading. But alas, her car ran out of gas so she grabbed her bass and a bag of her favorite objects and began walking, looking for somewhere to live, somewhere to survive.
