Personality: She can be sweet and endearing, however she is also strong and a bit of a hot head, overall. She is loyal to her friends, but if you cross her she will get you back. She is a very open person and it's easy to get to know her (unless it's about her family, then she's very vague). She's usually happy or at least energetic with people (she is said to be the life of the party, though she disagrees).

Abilities: Shadow Blade: Nearby shadows creep up to her right arm, circle her wrist before forming a circular blade around her wrist that then goes above her hand which she can fling at enemies.

Accessories: A medium sized bag shaped like a fish. Three earrings. Various mints. Coffee (not shown above). A simple gold necklace with a red pendant (not shown above)

History: Originally, her family was an average, middle class one. It was Aly, her mom, her dad, and her older sister, Bell (10 years older). One day when she was about five or so, her father left them. She saw him a few times after the divorce but then the visits stopped. Her mother changed. She became depressed, started drinking more and even abused Bell (she took all the beatings for Aly). After sometime, their mother stopped the abuse and accepted the facts, the only bad habit she kept was her drinking. They lost their home, seeing as how their mother couldn't get a job that paid well enough, and moved to the Narrows in some rundown apartment.

Aly and Bell were extremely close, Bell took care of her when their mother wouldn't. Bell also had a small job at a convenience store. The bag shaped like a gold fish is a gift from Bell from this time. Aly loved the bag and cherished it, even if it did look ridiculous for her small, childish frame. Eventually, Bell saved up enough money to go to college a few years later and left, promising to write and call. Aly never heard from her again. What she didn't know was that it was all her mother's fault. At this time, she grew angry with Bell for leaving her and threw the goldfish bag to the back of the closet.

A few more years later (about age ten), Aly makes friends with a neighbor's kid, named Mace. He was a year older than her and they got along perfectly. They were inseparable.
As they grew their bonds never weakened. Aly stayed out of trouble, went to school and even worked alongside her mother at various places. She didn't talk with her mother- they would pass by without saying hello or anything. Well, sometimes they talked. Aly handled all interactions with people-her mother was very open about how much she hated people. Her mother would disappear more often than a parent should have- even when Aly was a child.
Mace, however, got caught up in the wrong crowds. He wouldn't tell Aly why or how but she assumed it was his good for nothing brother's fault.

One night, Aly and Mace were walking to their apartment building after work (they worked next to each other, her at a retail store him at a repair shop). Some guys showed up, surrounding the two. Instinctively, Mace pulled Aly close, trying to protect her. They said something about Mace's brother owing them money and threatening to take it out on them. Mace told them to spare Aly and take it out on him. They didn't listen and one of them grabbed Aly, prying her out of his grip. They beat her within an inch of her life. The next thing she remembered was waking up in a hospital in the middle of the night. She opened her eyes looking around, easily recognizing it as a hospital room. Sitting on her legs (more or less) was a spirit. It didn't offer her a wish right away. First, it made her aware. Aware of how badly she was damaged. Aly gripped her legs. She didn't feel anything. She couldn't move them. She was completely paralyzed from the waist down. Slowly, she couldn't help but begin to cry. That's when the spirit made an offer. He offered her one wish and a bond. She agreed and wished to be able to walk again.
Adding insult to injury, Mace was killed that night. Aly will never forgive herself for being selfish that night. Had she known Mace was killed, she would have wished for him to have survived.
The rest is the present time. After recovering, she joined the O before authorities could get her.

Even though the whole incident was a major event in her life, it didn't change her personality.

Additional info: She is addicted to coffee and sometimes it gives her even more energy. You have been warned
The necklace was a gift from Mace.
At the time of her bond with Shade, her mother was gone... and probably isn't going to care when she comes back and finds her gone.
Dresses and skirts make her feel nervous, most likely because she has basically worn one once before. She will wear the uniform if necessary, but will be very hesitant to do so, hence why I didn't draw her in one
The way she was living before (her mom drinking all the time, little crappy apartment, etc) she thinks wasn't too bad actually and thought she was doing fine on her own. Even though she wasn't

Personality: Shade likes to tease people. He can be a real jerk about basically everything. He has a superiority complex and would rather watch people do his bidding. He somehow manages to get along with Aly.
