dat's right! And yes, the story has been undergoing some planning and touchups here and there but I need to either find time to illustrate or find an illustrator...

I see... xP Well, if you want to partner up with an illustrator, I suggest you choose somebody reliable and with an empty enough schedule (not some slacker like me XD).
From my recently obtained experience in team-working I think I'd "hire" an artist for a limited of time, e.g. for one or two chapters, if I were the writer. After that you can evaluate whether you can work with each other long-term. If you find out the writer-artist chemistry isn't quite right, there'll be no hard feelings (because you limited the collaboration beforehand) and you can make an attempt with the next artist.
That's how I would do it xP
