As the sun set sleepily on the horizon, the snow began to fall; a slow, gentle feathery fall, without any wind blustering or whistling around the cabin's eaves to ruin the comfortable ambience of the crackling fire. Sheera and Kenny lounged close to the fireplace, alternating between watching the snow outside and watching the dance of the fireplace flames.

"Hmm, looks like it might snow all night," Kenny remarked softly as he roasted a marshmallow by the fire. He usually loathed the snow, but he figured as long as he was inside and near the warm glow of the fire he could enjoy it.

"Mm-hmm." Sheera sighed and stretched her arms above her head. "It'll probably melt by morning, though. It's that soft kind of snow that you can't even make snowmen out of."

"Probably just as well. We don't have any carrots or coal to make a Frosty anyway."

Sheera grinned broadly, and then let out a long, drowsy yawn. "Oof. Gettin' sleepy," she said. "It's so nice and warm in here...."

"Oh?" Kenny's eyes gleamed in the firelight. "Well, what's the sense in taking aaaaallll those steps upstairs when you've got a place to sleep right here?" His coils unfurled and shifted invitingly and he held his arms open, his hands beckoning to her.

"Oh yes," Sheera said, clambering over to him. She was sleepy, but not so sleepy that her eagerness for cuddles was diminished. She leaned up against his huge, muscular chest, snuggling against the soft material of his sweater.

"And to keep the nightmares way.....juuuuust in case." Kenny gently lifted her chin up so she was looking him in the face. His eyes swirled hypnotically, glowing faintly in the semi-darkness.

"Mmmm...." Sheera's eyes absorbed the hypnotic colors without resistance, and she slumped with a heavy sigh against him, a smile of bliss spreading across her face. His coils curled around them both, pressing her against him further.

"Sleep well, Sheera," Kenny whispered. He continued to roast his marshmallow as she drifted off, sinking into the cozy warmth.
