Japanese Goddess of the sun and state. It is from her the Japanese nobility claims descent and their divine right to rule. She is the sister of the storm god Susanoo. An embodiment of the rising sun and Japan itself, she is the queen of the kami and ruler of the universe.

Through Amaterasu’s illumination, she represents not just order, but the justice that maintains it as well. The Imperial family has long served as the legitimizing power of any Japanese political entity, and they have always used this position to ensure that Amaterasu’s place as Queen of Heaven and her control of its courts are reflected in their rule. Thus, the earthly court systems and the justice they represent are reflections of Amaterasu’s divine justice, though she herself is not the goddess of justice - merely its final arbiter. She maintains harmony and balance in both the natural world and human society.

So she just gave up and sulks in a cave. This is bad for the mortal realm. They decide to put a bunch of roosters outside the cave (that’s a dumb and it fails), then they decide to put a mirror in front of the cave for… it is unknown how this will help, so they decide to get Uzume a party goddess to do a strip tease (I can’t make this up). She hears the commotion outside to see roosters, a mirror, and a stripping Goddess(hint hint Bi).

She is a generally kind, warm, and mature women with strong opinions and a short attention span.
She often hangs around other sun gods or just sitting in her hall. She is also a warrior and is a master with a blade.

Especially with the Grass cutter sword, and it makes her even more glorious than before.

She is not a fan of Yahweh because of how he sent his worshippers and convert them, and how they westernization destroyed most of their culture.

She is confused on how Japan changed so much it’s so bright and very weeby. From Samurai to business men.
She upset that not a lot of people worship her.
