Well it seems almost like a rite of passage eh? Doing a FF VII fanart piece? Well I did one of my own. The famous Aeris dies by Sephiroth scene. I was thinking how to do it, and I ended up not doing it with their faces. Everyone knows the scene or has seen other people's interpretation that you don't really need the faces anymore. So I tried my best to convey it with body language and lighting. I'm not sure how good of a job I did with it. I'm still a novice with Photoshop and I'm trying to figure everything out. There could've been more contrast between Cloud and Aeris and the background. There's also the Holy Materia there (or at least I think they were searching for the Holy Materia...), only it's been so long since I played the game I forgot what it looked like. And in the extreme foreground you can see Sephiroth's blood stained sword.Feedback is greatly desired/appreciated for this one.

that is phenominal one of the best i've ever seen.. the contrast was great.. and the shadowing of clouds face jus leaving one eye barely visable.. perfect!

OMG! I had to look at your page. I really like this one. I was so sad in the game I actually cried when she died. She was my fave character. you know how you can change their names. Well I was her. Cloud was my friend and the other characters were my other friends too. Now Barette. LOL! I renamed him Mr. T. Sorry about ranting. Comment on picture. lol! I am going to fave it.

Wow, i really like your approach in doing this...I think in some ways not showing their faces almost makes it more powerful. Personally i cried my eyes out when i got to that part in the game, and everything about this peice, from the pose to the lighting almost makes me relive it. Really nice work!

Wow, such a gorgeous piece of artwork, I can't believe I'm like, the first to comment. I think that not showing their faces was good, their body language (or more Cloud's cuz... Aeris is dead) conveys the emotions well. The way he holds her... so sad! *sniffle sniffle sob sob* Good luck with PhotoShop, you seem to be doing a very good job so far!
