Description An idea i had from a 'doodle'. I don't usually do anything with doodles but i thought i'd try it with this one.
What is it supposed to be? just a tree, a green tree. A symbol of so many things, the most obvious being growth and even rebirth.
I did some sketches to back it up so i'll download them too, so people can see how the idea took shape.
Watercolours and salt on 300gsm paper. The real fun thing was using a 'rigger' for the first time on the linework, it really makes it easy!

Here are the sketches I did for this one...

And the 'Light' version of it...

What a great design! I could totally see this as a tapestry or stained glass

Stained glass would rock! I would be amazed to see this as a stained glass

I like that! I love trees and nature and this is a beautiful symbol for that. And i like the light salt effects. (:

Beautiful! I particularly like the opposing gradients on the rays. You managed a balanced look between controlled and spontaneous I see this working as a card of some sort.

Hmmmm, i like your thinking! Maybe i should do a series? i'd like to do a similar one where the tree and leaves look different and the colour scheme is diff. too

Yeah, i am reminded of the series of figures 'Yuemi22' did in different colours and elements i think! Maybe something like that

Thanks! i worried that some of the lines are too controlled but using salt is always a blast!
