Was for Naimoka.com contest. But yeah, like the usual, I didn't win. I really suck at contest >_< I should probably stop entering in any drawing contests, cuz I am never able to win. >3< Must be something wrong with my concept and crap.Anyways, original characters. The theme was "in the name of love" but in my mind, I have this vision of some foggy room and two charas getting into a train or some gate. So yea, that was my idea lol. But I didn't really cg it that way.
I just realize my monitor is really different from the monitor I used to cg this, so it looks darker on my screen but lighter on some others. So now, I don't know what the contrast/brightness actually looks like XD;; (I need a new monitor...dumb bulky 15" XD!!)

and i almost always draw in dark colors so it so dificult to know what black use D:

hmm..the judges dunno what they're talking about rofl xDDD maybe, also, they were quite subjective..because the technique and color choices and value-scheme and compostion and "life" are ALL amazing. great original concept and beautiful characters, and AWESOME atmosphere. i mean...ugh, just one of my faves right away..from looking at it no more than 2 seconds >w< ~!! (though i've stared quite a bit longer, believe me XDD)
also, the amazing coloring you've done within and blending around the shadows...just..WOW. *learns from you* @w@

Its beautiful. The colors look dark on my screen, if thats any consolation? I really need to get a computer program, and learn how to use it. Colored pencils don't look this good! I usually don't color anyway, gets to complicated....
What program to you like the best, I could use the help with finding one.

my fave part is the gilr's pose, so dramatic >,<

Maybe they didn't get your concept of love, maybe they just wanted some pink and shojo pictures >.< I like the way you think, it's very original to think about love that way ^^. Oh, just saying --> never put your speakers too close to the monitor; when you do that the colors start getting weird (not dark) pinks turn green xD, it's the same effect you get putting a magnet close to a monitor/TV.
Ok, about the picture xD. Even thought the palette is a bit opaque, the jewells and the eyes are bright and deep ^^ I think that coloring the face and the skin is one of the funniest parts of the shading and it seems that you had fun designing those characters, they have very interesting clothes. Very nice job, it totally worth all those +favs.
