For the curious, my previous deviation was based on an older drawing I did over half a decade ago.

It was an ancient time, when the Grafted didn't look like The Grafted. Gwen was instead a man named Arthur, who was white. It was long before I met AraghenXD and EldLynch-Tristan , as well as many others. The Graft used to be called True Armor, and it was cybernetic instead of organic. Perhaps the biggest change? Arthur and Maria were meant to hook up. Arthur, like Gwen, is timid. Maria, who rarely cuts loose to have fun, is stubborn and regimental. Arthur had to do a lot of growth before openly expressing his feelings for Maria.

But, a change here and a change there... And now that's a romance that just wasn't meant to be. Oh well.
