The two agents caught up with Arthur and demanded the pod. For whatever reason, Arthur chose not to surrender it. He instead chose to run. The agents gave pursuit and fired a pair of warning shots.

Arthur hid in a wooden shed out of view of his pursuers. Before Arthur could catch his breath and consider his next course of action, the pod came to life. The diodes across the surface gave off a bright red glow and unfolded into what Arthur interpreted as a metallic insect. The creature seemingly vaporized his clothes and attached to his bare body. In a mere instance, Arthur found himself being smothered in what felt like liquid metal that poured across his body. He could feel the metallic construct tear into his skin and make a series of injections. Arthur thought for sure he was dead...
