My 2nd go at Nanbu Kaguya from SRW: OG Endless Frontier.When in doubt, draw her to release me from my art block
I say I've improved some.

This one definitely looks better than your first. I dig the lighting, drawing style, and background a lot. You did the hair awesome too. I think the breast are a little big but I'm not really complaining lol. The only thing that could have made the pic cooler was if she had her sword; it's a FREAKIN awesome sword. Great job all around.

I think its great and all but I have one little tiny piece of criticism the expression on her face with the way the head is proportion (shaped) almost makes her look some what not too much but I can see it...like a dude.
NO OFFENSE although I can see your side if this seems a bit over the top meaning I can understand if you think this Comment is offensive but I just feel she needs more of a womanly expression (note that does not mean she needs to have a "provocative" expression) do take this into consideration and take it as it is, criticism not words of disgust it is remarkable but that small detail, can use some fixing.

I'm thinking my proportions I use on rough sketches in terms of the head make it look man like to some viewers (Men = wider, Women = Sharper) Mostly I think it's a taste type of thing. Some see her having a woman face, some say a man face.
In your opinion, what would you change?

Listen, I'm not an artist myself but, I would say it would be better to reshape the face and give her a more feminine expression, and the expression, can be to your taste and to make it easier for you, what reason do you have drawing her if you wanted a woman to show no fear then give her a more heroic smile, or possibly a stair that shows she is not to be mess with but with a little sign showing she is not ruthless
As I said before I'm no expert, but you could ask someone who is to help you with expressions and facial figures, that way your work can improve even further. I do not doubt that you have improved, but this is the only kind of help I can offer, sorry.

Just discussed this with some people on a forum and the wideness of the face gives the illusion that it's more of a man like shaped head. Now they said not that it wasn't wrong but it's not 100% right. They realized I was going for a more realistic look in terms of eye/nose/mouth positioning rather than a cartoon/anime type of look (huge eyes, little mouth all widely spread to cover the facial area), in which alot of people like the cartoon look because it is more appealing, but most of the time, proportions, etc are not correct.
reason I drew her smiling too is because in the face of anything...she really is happy go lucky, and kind of an airhead.
