Description
I am curious of what the current Starcraft universe would look like, since there were planets out there. So I've decided to make a map for it. In what I've saw, this whole Terran part of the story is probably a galactic western version of the history of Russia. So here is my view of the map so far.The Terran Dominion, a giant of a successor of the Terran Confederacy, is an absolute monarchy that remains a dominant power in the Kopulu Sector. Its capital is Korhal, which i believe to be a planet based off of the city of Moscow. After its revolution, the Dominion was at first in a time of peace until its invasion by the UED, similar to how Nazi Germany invaded Russia. Despite such an invasion, the Dominion managed to drive them back, even though they were heavily damaged by the Zerg. By the end of the Brood Wars, Emperor Arcturus Mengsk then sends in a campaign to hunt down rebels like Jim Raynor, which he eventually finds him on the imperial flagship. The Dominion represents an monarchy version of the Soviet union during Stalin's reign.
Other terran/human nations such as Moria, Umojan, and Tarsonis (formally the Terran Confederacy) are also seen in this map. After suffering a massive zerg invasion, the people of Tarsonis (aka the Terran Confederacy), loosely based off of former Czarist Russia, managed to drive out the invaders by the time the Overmind was destroyed. However, the planet itself remains heavily damaged. Moria, a mining world and collectivist republic similar to the Baltic, remains neutral with the Dominion since the end of the Guild Wars. Umojan, representing the People's Republic of China, has become an ally to Mengsk and his thugs during the Brood Wars, but later on turns its back on the Dominion (similar to how the Sino-Soviet Split had occurred). Mar Sara, a complete desert planet, is probably besieged by some zerg activity, as a result of the planet's lack of attraction towards terrans other than prospectors and miners. Mar Sara, in my belief, is similar to Mongolia. The Mobeius Foundation, a corporation and federal republic used as a puppet state of the Dominion, remains a bank for Mengsk and his boys in Korhal. Thanks to its technological achievements, it has brought the Dominion enough resources to become a powerful empire that dominates the Kopulu Sector. The Moebius Foundation could be loosely based on Hungary and Yugoslavia.
The United Earth Directorate is a successor to United Powers League (similar to Nazi Germany's rise over the Weimar Republic) that recently invaded the Dominion during the Brood Wars. As it aggressively tried to take over the planet Char, the UED's Expeditionary Fleet was sent to use experiments on the Overmind to control the Zerg, but was destroyed by Kerrigan and her swarm. Due to its genocidal and aggressive behavior, the UED represents Nazi Germany.
The Protoss Empire was once an independent power until the destruction of the Overmind, when Aiur was to be sacrificed in order to drive out the swarm. Currently occupied by the remaining forces of the Zerg, the Tal'darim was formed to rebuild their former glory as Zeratul leads his fellow Dark Templar to reclaim peace into their world and prevent an apocalyptic battle. The protoss are loosely based on Feudalist Japan.
The Zerg are a ruthless race of aliens who are currently led by Sarah Kerrigan, who once worked for Mengsk's dirty work during his revolution. With the Overmind now dead, the Zerg remain dependent on Kerrigan to escape from their enslavement by the Dark Voice. They raid anything that stands in their way in order to continue their race, especially when it comes with the Terrans. THese creatures are loosely based on the bugs from Starship Troopers and that of the Huns.

1) UED must be far larger compared with others - otherwise, Dugalle's expeditionary force would have been almost their entire military.
2) Tarsonis republic (AKA confederacy): does this even exist? I haven't heard anything of it - I thought it would have been wiped out. Also, tarsonis was Kerrigan's primary hive for a while in SC1, so why is it diametrically opposed from the zerg territory?
3) the protoss aren't much for colonization compared with the terrans - that's why the overmind had such trouble finding them. Their empire should be smaller, and probably farther from zerg space.
4) mar sara is not a republic - it is a disobediant colony of the Dominion. It shouldn't even be here.
5) Since when was the mobeius foundation a separate state? I always figured it for a scientific foundation. If it's a separate state, then why was it dominion troops defending Narud and the Tal'darim while they worked on breeding hybrid?
6) Zerg SWARM man, Zerg SWARM!

I couldn't help but notice that each of these sections contains at least one thousand stars (not to mention how many planets). Also, since the UED in centered around the human homeworld, then I think it should be the largest. Also, the distances between the sectors are too great even for the Starcraft-style hyperspace jumps. I think all of these should be contained within the same spiral arm of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Admiral DuGalle: Nice. But the United Earth Directorate was the best.

THe UED is in the wrong place. It's centered around Earth opposite of were it is

The zergs' based on the Tyranids and Arachnids.
The UED was based on the United Citizen Federation.

Er... These zones seem to be horribly out of scale... And if the Dominion had that much force, it could easily crush the Zerg...

even if the dominion seems larger than the zerg region, the zerg are still a major threat. They occupy the former Protoss empire, which makes it harder for the dominion.

The only thing the Zerg have going for them is their numbers, even with the Protoss zone, the Dominion is still easily as large or larger than the Zerg combined forces.

Great, except (in my opinion) because the UED isn't at war with any powerful alien races (as far as I know) and the human population on Earth was exponentially larger than the population of humans that first settled in the Korprulu sector, the UED's territory should be waaaay bigger. But go ahead and prove me wrong if you think otherwise.

i think some of earth's huge population decided to migrate into the kopulu sector since the time the first settlers had founded it. Probably because earth was out of room.

actually the people who are at the kopulu sector are from several prisoner ships. So unless there were more criminals in the UED then normal people, before they send the prisoner ships, the UED territory should be bigger.

I think you may have been a little generous with the size of the territory, remember there are 400 billion stars in our galaxy, which is roughly 100,000 light years wide. The Koprulu sector where starcraft takes place is only supposed to be a few solar systems (about ten by my count).
