Description
Based on the adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog called Freebound.
To my imagination after bombardment of the Earth by the alien Xorda mankind retreated underground. Before that the discovery of the Chaos Emeralds spurred a renaissance of technology so despite being in exile humans were able to salvage a lot of their previous devices and the species showed no shortage of innovation or industry in the long dark years below the world they once ruled. The Unifaction was a general name for the nations of the planet united in the common cause in times of peace for prosperity and in the times afterwards in the name of survival.
I picture a typical human soldier wearing enhancing body armor called Vaults and the general color of their costumes being dark to black. The typical under dwelling human is actually not quite acclimated to the the new environment of the world above so their gear keeps them secure from strange diseases as well as defending them from enemies. A human to my thinking is a foot or so taller than even the tallest mobian (evolved animal) so with their impersonal gleaming visors and armored skin the mobians initially regarded them as a race of robots.
Compared to the method of fighting adopted by the mobians who preferred either ambushes or heavily defending positions humans are much more maneuverable and preferred sudden rushes of positions relying on their armor to keep casualties at a minimum as well as a focus on individual actions in combat compared to the mobians preferring grand manuvers of disciplined troops. Humans carried heavy weapons seldom, preferring lighter armaments that individual soldiers could wield deftly.
Yes...they're based a lot on Spartans from Halo, but they are not biologically enhanced. The suit itself provides the boost to each individual, so effectively that until the armor is removed it's difficult to tell the age or gender of a human soldier with only performance as a guide.
