One of the few western guns that I truly respect. A perfect combination of accuracy and firepower. FN did a great job with this one

My dad was trained on one of these rifles. He told me once, on auto it kicked so hard I'm surprised you didn't feel it.

It was heaps heavier too...about 7.5kg (because of the Heavy Barrel)...Use to Double-Feed quite a bit

This is a Man-Killing Rifle...Our Variant was the L1A1 (SLR)... My favourite weapon of all time and the only weapon I am actually qualified on... The variant L2A1 was decent too...but fell far short of being a good enough support weapon for a section...It had 30 Rounds, Automatic (Most NATO Countries had their FNs for standard troops so they could only be set at Semi-Auto), a heavier barrel, 600m incremented sights and grasshopper folding Bipod...Chewed through 30 Rounds in about 6-7 Seconds...

Yup and the problem was with FAL's is when in full auto they were uncontrollable when hip fired. even still good fire rate and when prone had a little better accuracy.

It looks like Australia was the only country to significantly alter this beast to a Light Machine Gun...The AR (As it was known)

Damn dude! Very nice work!
Is that black shape in the magwell a layering error?
Also, I don't know if you were trying to do an exact recreation but the proportions feel kinda weird. The stock and the handguard are too short.
But it doesn't spoil the beauty! ;D

The black shape is the carry handle in its 'rest' position, though that is kinda hard to tell in a 2D medium like this.
