Description
Lieutenant Commander Moore on the bridge of HMS Troutbridge as she goes in to action.This will hopefully comprise part of a small series of Call of Cthulhu based images featuring the Destroyer HMS Troutbridge in action with Occult/Monstrous forces.
The Scene above is derived from the Bridge of HMS Cavalier which is a ship close to my heart.
I have endeavoured to get the uniforms as accurate as possible, should you have any queries, feel free to ask me.
It is my intention to colour this over time as well.

Yes, love the Navy lark, this is the better organised Wartime crew - It's a good name for a default ship you see, and the T class were quite nice ships, I'm betrothed to the C-Class HMS Cavalier though!

Ah well HMS Troutbridge in the series is based on HMS Troubridge (no 2nd "t") which was a real destroyer, they have very similar ships badges. Sadly she was scrapped long ago, but the T class looks quite similar to the C Class so you could visit HMS Cavalier in Chatham (UK) or - HMCS Haida in Canada, there's another destroyer in Poland and possibly France.

Sadly no, I'm much too lazy, but I do do Naval reenactment, so I wear the uniforms but have a normal 9-5 job!

Well, I did most of the lineart here; [link] but the colouring is all Siman's, There's CPO Pertwee, Fatty Johnson and Lieutenant Philips (In khaki - Royal Naval Division in this case). I do hope to draw more of the Navylark though, It's perfect for it!

Polar exploration would be good - I like the concept of them seeing something so indescribably incomprehensible that they lose their minds - Plus snow is easy to draw

Well, losing minds over indescribably incomprehensible things is a major theme in Lovecraft's stories xD Nonetheless, would love to see more Lovecraft-related stuff from you

The Call of Cthulhu RPG game is my only source of Knoweledge for HP Lovecraft, that and Wikipedia, Hopefully I'll bag a copy of his stories and have a proper read at some point, but there's about 50 books I have that I still need to read.
