Well it's been some time since I've done one of these eh? Despite the fact that my art might not be going in this direction, it's been an important part of my past, and if it wasn't for pieces like this, I probably wouldn't have figured out what I wanted to really do.The title reflects that part of me that's kind of been hiding myself from this style of art, but yeah, can't deny your roots right? Anyways, be as critical as you want, really, cause I'm looking to do more of these, and hey, never too late to get better right?
Major props to my good friend Tony
He's kind of the one who motivated me to get back into this, and he helped out a ton on this piece by giving me pointers, and hell, he even taught me some new techniques in cinema 4d. Lastly, you should really check his gallery out. If you like stuff like this, his digital art and 3d skills are far superior to mine, so show him some love.

I have given it some thought, as to whether this stuff can really be abstract you know? Cause abstract is supposed to be distortions from nature, but when you make scenes like this, I'm not trying to make it look like a distortion from nature, I want it to look like it really came from nature. Make the viewer believe that it actually exists you know? Brings up some interesting thought

this is why I started dAwatching you! i always loved these 3d pieces but always appreciate the other mediums you choose to express yourself through. And yes it's always good to get back to your roots and improve bit by bit

Tron was not my intention, but I can definitely see the connection. Maybe my subconscious did it

Whenever I look at this type of art I see it not as abstract but as more representational things. For some reason when I look at this I see some kind of technology exploding in outer space, it's like pieces and wires are flying everywhere...
Well enough with my craziness. I think this looks great. I don't know much about this style of art but I find the color, lighting, texture and dimension in this really interesting and appealing to look at.

You know your stuff and you know, you make a very good point there! The fact that I'm creating something that follows properties of real life is kind of making it less abstract because abstract art is a distortion of nature. It's probably somewhere in the middle lol.
