This is dedicated to those that were lost ten years ago, on that dark day in American hystory. This is for those who have lost a loved one, weither it be a family member, a best friend, a neighbor, or just someone you knew.I know the pain that everyone is going through, though I never met anyone who was killed that day.
My mom and I would have been two of those that were killed that day. We were in New York City, just days before the attacks on the World Trade Center, but it was not to be. My mom wanted to go to the Statue of Liberty on the morning of the 11th...we would have been right under the Towers just as the first plane hit. Thankfully, we changed our flight home to the day before, and arrived in Phoenix, AZ late on the 10th.
Now I'm not the religious type, but I believe that there was someone, or some higher being, that was watching over us, otherwise we would not be here today. And not a day goes by that I am thankful that we are.
So, this is for all that were killed on Sept. 11, 2011. May they live on through us, in our membories and in our hearts.
