Yeah! At the time, I wanted continuity between the battles. In the scene, Aldones plays fetch with Lord Fathom (the squid) while he muses over "what might have been" with Marion had he not counseled her to leave the area. I intended to revisit that plotline by having Marion return to aid Aldones later on, but sadly the opportunity never arose.
