A reference sheet for Clepathians - the fuzzy, big eared, rat-like creatures from the world Celor.
Was going to write up a nice summary describing their weird biology and a bit of their history, but I'd rather not dump a whole essay on anyone like that. The important bits are...
They're biologically immortal.
Their ears are external.
Their claws can sense texture and temperature just like fingers, but only when stroking across something.
Their fur is like very thin, flexible needles, except for their white snouts and ears. Their snout fur is soft and short, and their ear fur is velvety.
They have an almost non-existent reproductive drive, with married couples often only mating once a year, if that.
Their blood is very hot, of a liquefied(but not necessarily molten) gold or silver bio-metal.
Their blood can be formed into blade-like stilluses from slits at the bottoms of their forearms.
They have two hearts.
Their brains are not just in their skull, but segmented into nodes down along their spine.
They almost never wear shoes, unless the environment is very hostile. Otherwise, they're always barefoot or, at most, wearing simple platform shoes.
Their claws are for thrusting, not slashing.
They evolved from bear-like predatory rats.
They have a primarily pescetarian diet.
They tell each other apart by voice, eye color, and ear length.
Their heavy blood makes them weigh a lot more than a human of the same height and build. This is also why their feet are so wide and flat - weight distribution.
Their skins are exceptional natural insulators, so much to the point that Clepathians daring to venture outside of the HNT may find themselves murdered with their skins sold on the black market. Highly sought after by crime lords for winter coats.
