Description
Well, here it is. I had to do some cropping to make both frames the same size, but I think it looks okay. I didn't cut off any of the umbrella in either picture (just barely). The words suit perfectly, don't they?I think we all know someone who deserves this card. If you download and print it, let me know a little bit about who you give it to and why. I always like to hear happy stories!

I really wish there was something else I could say other than "Fabulous!"
But whatever I say in this case probably wouldn't do this card justice anyway. ย ย

I love personally made cards, this was really well done too.
Did they really charge you that much to get it professionally printed?

Yeah, it was pretty expensive, though it was the labour that was the most costly. The paper, size, and colour were all fairly cheap comparatively. I didn't mind, though; it was for a dear friend, and she is worth every penny to me and more!

My company is looking into printing greeting cards. We currently let artists do eCards. We've been going back and forth on whether its a good idea. People have been asking for it for a while.
When I hear people charge that much, it makes me think we could do it cheaper.

And the end result just looks fantastic. Even if you didn't quite make it on time, it really is the thought that counts!

Thank you, Cris! In all honesty, I did need to wait the extra week to get her her present (a pair of tickets to opening night of The Last Airbender ) so I guess I planned to have the drawing take a little more time.
Truth be told, the card I gave her is a little different than what you see here. I took away the background for the second frame, making it totally white, added a grey outline for her face and body (so it would stand out against the background), and added a personal "Happy Birthday" greeting. I also got the card professionally printed where I work, and it still cost over $12 (even with a staff discount!), but as part of the present, it was worth that and more. I put a lot of love into that card; I hope she treasures it for years to come.

AAAGHHH, I WANT THOSE TICKETS!! Something tells me the movie is going to have complete facepalm moments, but the trailers actually make it look pretty good...I can't have these mixed feelings raging inside me anymore, I MUST SEE IT NOW! ๐: 0 โฉ: 0
Well, I'm glad that despite the glamorous pennies it cost to print, the card turned out excellent. To friends!
