Description
While Flying to Barcelona from Boston (Ibera) , I noticed that the Atlantic Ocean was calm and extremely clear with no turbulence or clouds. In addition, we were flying against the rotation of the earth making the movement almost still.I peeped outside and saw the milky way and attempted 100 shots (that shows you how difficult it was to take this). Of all this, I got one photo.
15 seconds, Wedged against the seat and the window.
f2.8
iso 3200
@ 17mm
Cropped
I would later leave Spain the day before the General Strike not sitting on the window side and flying in the day. I'm thankful for my friend who gave me the window seat.

what do you mean? You can determine the authenticity if you read the description And if u know anything about Photoshop, you'd probably ask why is this photo less than perfect

Never thought to try and get a night shot like this from a plane... might have to try this the next time I fly home from Germany

I'll give that another Great shot! The wing illuminated like that gives a fantastic contrast against the dark. Beautiful, clear shot considering the circumstances.

it was worth it - difficult enough with a tripod and on the ground - sounds almost impossible

It has a lot to do with the clarity of the sky. Its relatively easy to take this in Arizona at night. But almost impossible when you're moving. That's why I kept trying because I've never seen anything like this before, everything came together. Rotation of earth to the clarity of the sky.

Yes, I definitely think you should and I think that I some night, high up in the skies, will have to borrow your idea.. I am sure I won't get this good result, but after seeing your picture I don't think I can resist if I get the chance.
