Today is the anniversary of one of the most tragic events in history, so I decided to talk about 2 shows that were affected by it in some form.

1: Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog
Yep, AOSTH was affected by 9/11. There was an episode called "Mass Transit Trouble", it involved Sonic stopping hijacked boats, Planes and trains. But those were all distractions as Eggman/Robotinik planted bombs all over Mobius, thankfully Sonic was able to stop the bombs from going off. This episode was banned 2 times due to the terroristic bomb threats present, First after the 1995 Oklahoma Bombings, and again after September 11, and the only way you could find it is on YouTube. 2: SpongeBob SquarePants
You might be wondering, what does SpongeBob have to do with 9/11? Well, it's involving a deleted scene from the Season 3 episode "Just One Bite". In it, Squidward tries to break into the Krusty Krab to get a krabby patty, but he knocks over a bucket of gasoline with is lit by a match causing the place to go up in flames, but Squidward thankfully survives the fire. The reason for the removal of the scene was due to a standards and practice issue since Nickelodeon didn't want a scene involving gasoline and matches. But the episode was aired less than a month after 9/11 happened, so people didn't want to use explosions at the time since a lot of people were still traumatized by the event. There you have it, 2 cartoons affected in the aftermath of September 11. It really sucks that these shows had episodes and entire scenes cut due to what happened on that tragic day, but things have to happen for a reason, let's all have a moment of silence and honor the all the victims who lost their lives in the aftermath of that horrible day.😔😔😔
