I was definitely going for sexy on this one. Yeah, it's an acrylic wash. I tend to use acrylics like watercolors. In fact, when I first started painting, it was primarily with watercolor, but I found I had to build up gradually to get bold intense colors.
W/ Acrylics, I just use straight color for the bold stuff and washes for subtler tones.
I'm greedy and want the best of both worlds.
